- Quality of the irrigation water used on the crops
- Were the crops grown with pesticides? Insecticides?
- What kind of fertilizer was used on the soil?
Chemicals?
Manure?
Green manure (cover crops)? - Where were the crops grown?
Locally? Abroad?
Under plastic hoops or exposed to direct sunlight and fresh air?
- Were the crops grown in monocultures?
- Who harvested the crops?
Itenerant farm workers?
Farm workers paid a living wage?
- Were the crops harvested before they were ripe?
- Were the crops washed with any chemical? Was any chemical applied on them such as dye?
- Are the crops packaged in plastic?
- Is the crop a seasonal crop?
